Børgefjell Nature photography and nature photographer Svein Wik offers courses / workshops in nature photography at Bergum in Susendal. Here you will include learning more about the structure of pictures, photo technique, photography of landscapes, people and details, as well as imaging and archiving.

Get to know other photographers in idyllic surroundings look different photohide, enjoy a cup of coffee in the bivouac by the river Susna and relax in the sauna or at the barbecue area for the current session.

Description of course / workshop:
  • Composition and structure of images
  • Technical aperture and shutter, generally the camera settings
  • Technical quality of the images
  • Inspiration and creativity
  • Landscape and turfotografering M. M. (flowers, flowing water)
  • Photographing the landscape, people and details
  • Some techniques for more exciting pictures (using flash, panning)
  • Imaging on display and archiving of images
Each gets a good chance to ask for things directly with the teacher while we are outdoors and taking photos. Photo Ratings and discussion indoors after the field work. All participants who wish, viewing their pictures on the screen and the pictures commented / discussed.

Time and place:

Location: Bergum, Susendal in Hattfjelldal municipality.

Time: Starting Friday at. 6:00 p.m.. Attempt Sunday at. 3:00 p.m..


We start Friday. 6:00 p.m. with tea / introduction. The evening otherwise used theory. Saturday and Sunday we are much out there, but quit day indoors. The areas in Susendal offers many photo opportunities, and we use the adjacent areas along the river Susna to shoot. The times can be adjusted any way.

Prerequisites: It is an advantage of something because knowledge with the use of photographic equipment, but help will be given if necessary.

Equipment / Clothing: Designated digital camera must be accepted. Bring suitable clothing. We work in the field regardless of weather. A large umbrella may want to keep handy in case of heavy rains.
Number of participants: 12 people (minimum 8 people for that course is held).

Price: NOK 6.990,- per person.

All meals (local food), beds, and cleaning after your stay is included.

Travel to and from Susendal is not included and must be paid by the individual.

Payment of an invoice sent in enough NOK 6.990, - comes as enrollment. Registration is binding. It is recommended to have cancellation insurance, in addition to suitable travel insurance.

Børgefjell Nature Photography offers photography of wild birds and animals from three personalized photo hiding, and arranging courses / workshops in nature photography.

Børgefjell Nature photography is based on the farm Bergum in Susendal by Børgefjell National Park.  The river flows Susna few hundred meters below the farm and in an idyllic setting by the river there is a shelter with barbecue area. The total accommodation capacity is 17 beds. See for more information about Bergum.

Trainer: Nature photographer Svein Wik

Svein Wik is a renowned nature photographer, and has for several years organized courses, workshops and expeditions in photography. Over the recent past, he has worked extensively with particularly large predators and arctic landscape / wildlife. He has over 15 years experience, and has published three books and hundreds of articles in relevant magazines / journals in Norway over the past 10 years. See for more info.
